1/7/19 - This is an extremely rare Mauser HSc from 1940. This variation with low grip screw saw only ~700 manufactured commercially, all in 1940 with high-polish finish. This variation represents the first 700 HSc's manufactured, as the revision to the grip placement on the frame had already been done before production began. This likely means these pistols were already in inventory at the factory and the replacement forgings would have been ordered before the HSc came off the assembly line. This one has about 92-93% blue remaining with the majority of finish loss on the straps, especially the back strap. Some of the high edges also have minor pinpricking. The grips show basic handling wear and a few dings, but the only major flaw is a small chip in the left panel. Bore is shiny with good rifling.
