3/27/18 - This is a very Rare Commercial Krieghoff with the inscribed sideplate. This exact gun is pictured in the Randall Gibson book on Krieghoffs. Full page photo on page 192. While the serial is very early, these guns were not issued in sequential order so I can't tell you this is the 39th gun out of the factory. However it does have Crown/N commercial proofs so most likely issued in 1936 (plus or minus a year) . It has all original finish and all correct matching parts except for the Mauser made magazine. It also comes with the Krieghoff made brown bakelite grips. Comes in .30 caliber, as many of the commercial gun did. Excellent finish rates in high 90's with minor edge wear. The bore has a bit of wear but otherwise clean. The action is a little tight but that is only due to dried grease from years of storage I'm sure. It has the commercial star proof on the right side of receiver. Estimated production of this variation is less than 1,000. So an extremely RARE Krieghoff at a reasonable price. I'm sure most dealers would be well over 10k on this one especially since it is a documented gun (so you know the inscription is authentic).
