2/8/19 - This is an extremely rare Mauser HSc from 1940. This variation with low grip screw saw only ~700 manufactured commercially, all in 1940 with high-polish finish. This variation represents the first 700 HSc's manufactured, as the revision to the grip placement on the frame had already been done before production began. This likely means these pistols were already in inventory at the factory and the replacement forgings would have been ordered before the HSc came off the assembly line. This one has minty high-polish blue but is an excellent restoration that would fool many collectors. The grips are in very good condition with just a small chip on the left panel. Bore is very nice, with no major flaws.
