12/4/18 - This is a very rare 1940 Krieghoff Luger, as only ~1,000 were made that year.
While these guns are not always sequential, it is in the proper serial range. The finish is all original with the exception of the sideplate. Overall the finish is about 85% with most wear on the barrel and straps. It comes with proper black plastic Luftwaffe grips and it has ONE matching magazine. All correct and with name of the GI who brought it home.
There is a second non-matching magazine included from the same GI. Eugene must have been a machinist as he did a pretty good job machining his name
onto these magazines. In summary, we are offering an all original and all matching, correctly marked 1940 Krieghoff with the only exception being that the
sideplate was refinished (very well done). The rest of the gun has no issues including the GI named matching magazine.
