2/16/24 - This is, arguably, one of the rarest late war K98 variations - an SWP 45 coded rifle, made in the closing days of WWII at the Czech Waffenfabric Brunn arsenal which produced K98s for the Wermacht towards the end of the war. There were two late war variants made - one with a sheet metal rear sight and one with an adjustable rear sight. This is an adjustable rear sight variant and is actually the rarer of the two. Most of these had some sort of post WWII usage with Czechoslovakian forces or Israeli forces. Unmodified examples are rare. This particular gun is a WWII production gun with no post-war markings present. It is all matching and retains over 90% of its original finish with no pitting present anywhere. The stock is equally nice and is without defects. Bore is very good. No import markings.
