8/28/19 - This is a rare Verchromt Walther PPK in excellent, original condition that retains about 96-97% of its original finish. Very few PPKs were finished in “verchromt”, which was Walther’s experiment in producing a variation of the plated finish - essentially a type of electrolysis plating that gave the gun a dull gray appearance. Unfortunately, it proved to be less durable than the standard blue finish and very few such guns were made in the early 30s. There is very minor thinning on the trigger guard and front strap, and a little more on the right side of the slide. Comes with an excellent Verchromt magazine with beautiful finger extension. Minty bore. Beautiful grip with no major cracks or chips.
