5/20/21 - This is an excellent example of a rare Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1945 - marked "svw 45". There were only 15,000 SVW 45's produced, and over 346,000 total Mauser P.38's produced during the war (Jan Still, Axis Pistols). These SVW's are rare and Legacy does not get them often. This gun has a dual-tone finish, with a phosphate slide and frame, but blued barrel. This one is all matching and has the proper "Waffen 135" military proofs. The nature of the phosphate frame makes it difficult to rate, but we estimate it has retained about 96-97%. There is minor wear on the front strap and around the muzzle. Minor spotty wear at the front of both sides of the slide. Comes with excellent grips and a "jvd" marked magazine. Excellent bore - shiny with strong rifling. De-cocker is functional.
