8/8/19 - This is an extremely rare find, and one that you may not see again for a couple years in this condition. This is a complete K Date Mauser Luger rig, with both original, matching magazines, proper holster and tools. There were only 10,000 K Date Lugers produced, and many saw extensive action, so they are near impossible to find in this condition with both original magazines. The pistol is all matching and original with about 95% blue remaining, showing standard holster wear on the muzzle, sideplate and high edges. It also retains about 90% of the original straw, with most of the straw wear on the safety. The original, matching numbered grips are present and have sharp checkering with no major defects. All small parts are properly 'S' marked, including the internals (hold open, firing pin, firing pin housing). The bore shows minor use but is shiny with strong rifling. The magazines are original and properly numbered to the gun with O37 proof marks that match the receiver. The holster is in fantastic condition and is sharply proofed with 1934 date, WaA136 waffenamt and Karl Acvka maker mark. Original O37 proofed tool is present, which in and of itself is very hard to come by. The rig is completed by the correct, original cleaning rod. When you consider that there are likely fewer than 100 existing examples of K Date Lugers in all original configuration with both matching magazines, you may find that there are fewer than 10 such rigs in existence that would be an upgrade to this example.
