4/11/22 - This is an excellent example of a hard to find " 1st model ", bomb barrel Winchester carbine. When they do become available, most will be restorations and re-worked guns. But this is a true closet find and is in all original, un-altered condition. It retains most of it's typical Winchester light greenish finish with a barrel date of 12-42; within the first couple of months of production! The correct unmarked bolt has it's original blue finish. All internal parts are original and correct, many still in grease. The wood is nice, with beautiful original cartouches and a P under the grip. The handguard is the early type, correctly un-marked. The wood shows some handling / scuff marks on the right side, consistent with riding in a jeep or truck rack. Otherwise the stock would be in amazing condition as well. The bore is mirror bright. This is the first one that we have been able to offer in such an early and original condition. Comes with an original sling.
