7/19/18 - This is an all correct, original configuration National Postal Carbine - one of the rarer makers of M1s. The barrel is a correct Underwood with a flaming bomb - dated 8/43. It has the early type 1 barrel band marked "U". The stock is high wood, with the early "I" cut sling slot on the right side of stock. Also - original, not sanded wood. Clearly marked with a correct cartouche and inspectors proof with NPM. One of the best stocks I have ever seen. Receiver is correctly marked National Postal Meter. The rear site is not staked and "S" proofed. All correct and original configuration. Comes with a correct WW2 magazine and sling. Terrific bore.
