10/7/20 - This is a rare example of a Nazi RZM-marked Walther PPK, manufactured in 1940. The RZM (Reichs Zeug Meisterei) was the equipment office of the NSDAP and was established to contract for equipment. These pistols were commonly thought to be issued to the German political leaders of the time. What makes this particular gun unique is that it is in the correct serial range to be part of the second run of these RZM pistols in 1940. They are characterized by their "Eagle N" firing proofs. This gun is matching and has retained about 95% of its original high-polish bluing. While there is not much actual finish loss, there are areas of dark oxidation/discoloration along the length of the slide. There is minor muzzle wear and wear on the high edges of the slide. There is an area of pin-pricking on the right side of the slide. There is brown patina showing through and pin-pricking on the front strap. It comes with an excellent brown grip and brown finger extension magazine. There is just on small hairline crack on the right side. The bore is excellent - shiny with strong rifling.
