1/25/21 - At first glance, this may appear to be just another nice example of a Black Widow Mauser Luger, but this actually a rare commercial variant with Mauser banner toggle and strawed small parts. There were only a couple thousand of these produced and this one is in the correct serial range. It's marked with a 42 date over the chamber, and has Black Widow style grips and magazine. The receiver has no military markings, of course, and these are some of the only late variants with strawed small parts. The bluing on the pistol rates at about 95% with minor thinning on the straps, and standard high edge wear. The straw rates at 90+% with minor thinning. Mint bore. Grips show minor handling wear, and magazine is in good condition with no major defects.
