8/20/19 - This is a beautiful example of a scarce Colt Super .38, made in 1929, the first year of production! The finish rates at about 95-96%, with minor high edge wear on the slide, and an area of finish loss on the front strap. There is also minor patina on the slide. The pistol has the Colt high polish commercial blue finish, blue barrel with the top of the chamber polished and is factory fitted with checkered walnut grips. The magazine has a two tone finish, marked "38 AUTO / COLT" on the bottom, checkered arched mainspring, long grip safety and a finger groove on the frame. There is a half-moon front sight and a square notch dovetail rear sight. Bore is mint. Excellent grips and magazine.
