SOLD - Rare Colt M1911A1 - 1941

10/10/17 - This is a rare Colt M1911A1 with RS inspector proof on frame.  This inspector proof is only found from about 723xxx to 750xxx and is difficult to find.  This pistol has a brush blue finish with about 80% original blue remaining.  The slide has some thinning throughout but the majority of finish loss is on the front strap.  Slide is numbered and matching to frame.  Correct early WW2 grips and proper Colt barrel.  P proof on slide adn frame, with VP or "verified proof" on trigger guard.  Nice bore with only a little frosting, but no corrosion.  Two-tone magazine.
