9/25/19 - This is a near-mint example of a very rare Colt revolver. Made in 1927, the first year of production, this is a Detective Special with factory nickel finish. It is especially rare in that this example predates the use of the 'DETECTIVE SPEC' marking. It has about 99% of the original nickel present with only minor scuffs on the cylinder. It comes with a Colt factory letter stating that the nickel was factory done, and the gun was shipped to H&D Folsom Arms Company in December of 1927. It has a two inch barrel and is chambered for .38 special. Minty bore and grips.
