SOLD - RARE Colt 1911 - 1915 Navy

11/22/17 - This is a very rare and all original Colt 1911, manufactured in 1915 and issued to the US Navy.  Finish rates at about 80% with thinning on the straps, high edge thinning on the slide and finish loss on the underside of the frame.  There were only 500 pistols issued as part of the 1915 Naval contract, all from serial 109,501 to 110,000.  This one is all correct and in the proper range, with vertical P H barrel, H on slide, lanyard loop magazine and Navy marked slide.  Correct inspector proof on frame and Colt logo on slide.  The bore has strong rifling but some corrosion in the grooves.
