3/7/19 - This is a rare A.F. Stoeger marked Luger in excellent, original condition. These Luger pistols were manufactured in Germany during the 1930s by Mauser, after recently taking over production of Luger pistols from DWM, for Stoeger Arms Corporation to be sold in the U.S. Several different barrel lengths were offered in either 9mm or 7.65mm, and the quantity acquired by Stoeger was rather low, making this Luger a scarce variation. This particular pistol is standard 9mm with 4-inch barrel. The original finish rates at 95-96% with the majority of finish loss on the straps, especially near the stock lug. This example is marked with the "American Eagle" stamp on the chamber and "DWM" on the toggle. The numbered parts on the gun are matching, though the barrel is not numbered. The frame is GERMANY export marked. The right side of the barrel extension is marked A.F. STOEGER INC/NEW YORK. The extractor is marked "LOADED" and the safety lever marking is "SAFE". The magazine has a nickel body and blank wood base. Excellent bore.
