10/3/18 - This is a very rare Walther P.38 example - a first variation 'ac 41' with mixed acceptance proofs. This pistol is mentioned specifically by serial in Buxton's P.38 book (volume III), as the lowest known serial for this variation. Buxton's book states there are 185 of this variation produced, based off highest and lowest known serials. The pistol itself is all matching and original with a thin finish throughout. All small parts are properly waffen marked, and the grips are matching numbered to the gun. The right side slide shows both the standard E/359 proof, but also the seldom seen E/WaA359. While the pistol is worn, the bore is minty, showing it was well cared for.
