8/1/17 - This is a rare 1906/34 Portuguese Mauser Banner luger. The original finish rates at about 92% with some freckling or minor pitting in a few locations. It is all matching, including the magazine, though the magazine has no suffix. It does appear correct as far as the font and stamping goes, but not sure why it did not receive a v-suffix on the base. Crown/U proofed. Lower safety position is marked "Seguranca" and extractor is marked "Carregada". There were only ~500 of this variation produced for the Portuguese contract. This gun is only 6 digits off from the one that James Julia sold, and is mentioned on pg. 632 of The Borchardt & Luger Automatic Pistols by Gortz & Sturgess. Excellent bore. Still visible straw on the small parts.
