View Description |
11/2/21 - This is a rare transitional Colt 1911 that was manufactured in 1924. Fewer than 10,000 Colt 1911s were made that year, and they are known to have transitional features from the 1911 to the 1911A1. This particular gun has 98-99% of the bluing remaining, but there are a few small patches of pitting, mostly on the left side of the slide. Appears some moisture got to it as the condition is otherwise fantastic, including a mint bore. Barrel is correctly marked with intertwined HP marking. Mint grips. Two-tone magazine.
