1/22/21 - This is a Legacy first and an awesome find. It's an original M2 Flame Thrower, originally produced for the US Military during World War II. Designed in the early 1940s to replace the M1 flamethrower. The M2 was used primarily in the Pacific Theater of WWII where it proved to be incredibly effective against entrenched Japanese forces. This particular example is in excellent condition, though is missing the oxygen tank. It was likely modified after the war for Korea, with the M9 wand in place, and our best guess is the camouflage paint was done postwar, too. The wand has a serial number and a label indicating it was made at the Aeroproducts Division of GM. These flame throwers are seldom seen as the vast majority were destroyed once the arrival of flamethrower tanks rendered them obsolete. Note: We do plan to feature this item in an upcoming Youtube video, so shipping will potentially be delayed until footage is taken.
