8/14/20 - This is a very rare and highly desirable Third Reich "kripo" disc for the State Criminal Police (Staatliche Kriminalpolizei). These discs were used as a means of identifying a State Criminal Police Officer, and was carried at all times by personnel in this organization. These officers were often retained for post war duty, and were allowed to retain their discs for about one year, after which new discs were issued. It is a bronze disc, which is quite heavy, that reads “Staatliche Kriminalpolizei”, with the ID #1283, on one side and a national eagle with swastika on the other. This piece is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Don Bible, considered the top expert on these Gestapo and Kripo discs. This particular disc is in excellent condition and still has chain accompanying it.
