9/23/21 - This is a rare Nazi MP 44 modified to semi-automatic after the war. This gun was built from an original receiver that was single saw cut and had the sear spot welded per ATF instructions to restrict full-auto use. It has mostly WW2 parts but mismatched numbers throughout. The wood furniture does appear to be postwar. The finish is generally excellent, especially for this model. There are areas of patina on the receiver but it's in great shape overall. Terrific, shiny bore. Original magazine comes with the gun, and is 'gqm' maker marked. Receiver is proofed 'cos' and 'ayf' and has several waffenamts. There is also a small proof that looks to be Canadian near the serial number. All around a really nice example of one the most desirable and collectible World War II firearms.
