12/8/20 - This is a nice example of a rare Mauser P.38, made in 1942, the first year of production. There were fewer than 20,000 of this variation produced, which is a very low production total for any wartime P.38 variation. This particular gun is all matching with 93-94% of the original, dust blue finish remaining. Excellent profile with minor muzzle wear, but most of the thinning/patina is on the front strap. Excellent bore and good mechanics, though de-cocker is a little tight. Excellent brown grips. Mauser magazine.
