7/13/21 - This is a rare and highly desirable DWM Luger that is marked 'A.F. Stoeger Inc New York' on the receiver. The firm of A.F. Stoeger Inc became the sole importer of DWM Luger pistols in the United States in 1922. The order was for only 2,500 pistols, and their configuration varied. This one features the American Eagle crest over the chamber which was designed specifically for marketing Lugers to the U.S. market. Most documented examples are in the 't' or 'u' blocks, and this one is in the 't' block. This one has 90-93% of the original blue remaining, with minor high edge wear and some freckling around the muzzle. Also some thinning on the back strap, and minor pitting on rear of frame. The grips are unmarked but appear original to the gun based off fit and wear. Strong, shiny bore. Chambered for .30 Luger. Commercial magazine with wood base that is marked "GERMANY". No import marks.
