10/28/21 - This is an excellent and original example of the rare Colt Banker's Special revolver, with this particular one being made in 1935. These models are similar in size and weight as the Detective Special pistols but they have a smaller frame and cylinder. They were designed with bank workers in mind and could be easily concealed. The U.S. Postal Service also issued considerable numbers of these to their railway mail clerks. It has about 96-97% of the original Colt blue remaining, with minor edge wear on muzzle and cylinder. There's a very light turn mark on cylinder, and some dulling of the grip strap. Also minor surface oxidation on the frame. Mint bore and excellent grips. Two-inch snub barrel. Colt manufactured approximately 35,000 Banker Special revolvers between 1926 and 1943.
