8/12/20 - This is a double-date commercial DWM luger rig that was later diverted to the police. The dates on the chamber are 1920 and 1921. It is all matching and has two original matching magazines. It also comes with a luger tool and an original police holster. The holster has a police marking on the back with a serial that does not match the gun. Scratched into the back appears to be the name of the vet who captured it. The closure strap and loop have been replaced. The gun is in excellent condition, retaining about 96-97% of its original bluing. There is minor muzzle and high edge wear, especially on the side plate. There is an area of wear at the base of the front strap and one very small spot of discoloration on the left side of the frame. The initials "GR" are scratched into the underside of the frame, near the base of the barrel. However, these initials do match the name on the holster, leading us to believe that the gun and holster did in fact come together. The bore is nice but there is minor frosting in the grooves.
