4/4/17 - This is a 1917 Erfurt produced luger, with all matching parts including the grips and magazine, and the original capture documents! It's an interesting piece in that the luger appears to have been issued for army use, and was later re-issued for police use. It has the police sear safety installed, but no unit markings. The capture documents for this pistol are WW2 era documents with 1945 dates, making it likely this pistol could've seen use in both wars! The original finish is about 95%, with most of the wear on the sideplate and stock lug. The gun is all matching, down to small parts such as the hold open and firing pin, and nearly all of these parts also show Erfurt proofs. The matching magazine is police numbered, so not factory original. The grips, however, do appear original and matching, with Erfurt proofs. Bore is decent with no major issues, just a little smoothed out as it has clearly been used some - 6/10.
