7/7/19 - This is an original late WW2 variation P.38 magazine. The left side of the frame is "jvd" stamped, as well as WaffenamtE/WaA706. The right side is "P.38 U" stamped. The U stands for unhardened metal which was a late-war manufacturing technique used to speed production. There are no other markings. The spring is excellent and fully functional. The original blued finish is dull with no rust or pitting. These magazines were issued only with Spreewerk pistols from the 2nd alphabetical series (letter prefix), and with the Zero Series Spreewerk pistols.
