8/27/19 - This is a very scarce, original WW2 era production canvas lanyard for the P.38 pistol. The lanyard is in excellent condition and the closure leather loop is "P.38" stamped. There are no other markings. No stitching issues, or staining on the canvas. There is a very minor area of the beginning signs of fraying near the center of the "coil" as shown in photos. This is extremely minor though - overall this piece is excellent. The metal closure hook has some rust, but this is a good sign of authenticity and aging. Guaranteed original and authentic.
