10/31/17 - This is an oddball luger that was put together from leftover Mauser and Krieghoff parts. These guns were generally assembled after the war from wartime parts, and sold at the PX store in Germany so that GI's had souvenirs to take home from their time in Germany. This one shows serial number 9 on the frame and serial, but no other parts are numbered at all. The barrel and receiver have Crown/N proofs, and there is a star proof(French?) on multiple parts (barrel, safety, internal sideplate, etc). The pistol is chambered in .30 and has excellent Black Widow-style grips. The finish on this one is a little difficult to rate, as there is brown showing through in a few areas, but there isn't much rub wear or finish loss. Excellent bore.
