6/6/17 - Never saw this before - this is an early boxed PP from 1938. It has a near-mint early high polish finish and is in the original early box. The earliest variation of boxes had a PINK interior and a "bow tie" label, with hand numbered serial. This serial has not been altered so I'm sure it is original and authentic. What makes this boxed gun so rare is that it came with an ITALIAN language manual dated 10/35. First one I have ever seen! Collectors tell me that the manual alone would sell from $300-400. Possible this gun was shipped to Italy in 1938 when Italy, under Mussolini, was mopping up their war with Ethiopia, and allied with Hitler. Most likely the gun would have gone to a military or party official in the Italian government in that case. The accessories in the box include the early cleaning tin with rare "milk carton" oil can and rag. Also the 3 dummy rounds and spare magazine. The separators are missing from the box but otherwise the box is in really nice condition considering the age. The cleaning brush actually goes with a 22 caliber PP, but was in the box when it came to me so I left it intact. All matching and original. Excellent bore.
