3/8/17 - This is a WWII era Colt M1911A1, dated to a 1944 year of manufacture by serial. If it weren't for the couple of dings on the front strap, I would be calling this a mint-condition pistol - it's gorgeous. It is properly proofed, including the GHD inspectors mark, P on frame and slide, and crossed cannons cartouche on right side of the frame. The barrel is also correctly marked for this date (P, Colt .45 auto). 'L' marked magazine and minty grips. The bore is in very good shape, with just a little frosting but would shoot fine. Overall, an excellent WWII example for a Colt 1911.
