6/18/20 - This is Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1945. It is marked "AC 45" on the slide and has the proper "Eagle 359" acceptance proofs. The barrel is marked "fnh". All numbers matching. The gun is blued but most of the small parts are phosphate - correct for this late war variation. This example has a late-war military finish that is difficult to rate, but we estimate it has retained about 95% of its original bluing. There is minor thinning on the barrel and front strap. Excellent original grips. De-cocker works properly. The bore is shiny with strong rifling, but there is minor oxidation near the muzzle end. The gun comes with a period-correct jvd magazine.
