12/22/20 - This is a nice example of a Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1941. It is a second-variation ac 41, characterized by a high polish finish and no ac code on the trigger guard. This one is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" Nazi military acceptance proofs on the slide, frame, and small parts. It has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its bluing. There is some minor spotty wear on the front strap and trigger guard. There is wear around the muzzle, on the barrel, and along the high edges of the slide. There is a noticeable area of wear on the right side of the slide. There is some spotty oxidation and freckling, most noticeable on the barrel, front strap, and on the right side of the slide. It comes with very nice period-correct grips and a wartime Walther magazine. The bore is very nice - shiny with good rifling. De-cocker is fully functional.
