10/9/20 - This is a very nice example of a Mauser P.38, issued to the Nazi military in 1943. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 135" Nazi military acceptance proofs. It has retained roughly 80-85% of its original bluing. There are areas of splotchy discoloration and pin-pricking most noticeable on the left side of the slide and under the barrel. There is thinning and dark oxidation on the underside of the frame and front strap. The bore has areas of freckling. Otherwise, it would be near mint - shiny with strong rifling. Comes with excellent period-correct grips and a "jvd" "P38 U" magazine. It is fully functional, including the de-cocker.
