10/30/20 - This is a very nice example of a French Unique Kriegsmodell rig issued to the Nazi military around 1940. The Kriegsmodell is a German design, made to be an improvement over the French-made Model 17. This particular pistol must have been made just shorty after the Nazi's took over in 1940, given its high polish finish. It is all matching and has the proper "Waffen d20" Nazi military acceptance proof on the tang. This gun has retained roughly 85% of its original bluing. Most of the wear is on the front strap, where there is thinning and spotty wear. There is wear on the high edges of the slide and some spotty wear on the slide as well. There are some light scratches on the right side of the frame. The gun has nice original grips and one period-correct magazine. The rig also includes a period-correct brown leather holster. The bore is excellent - shiny with strong rifling.
