9/2/20 - This is a decommissioned Nazi MP 44 Sturmgewehr from World War II. We are not experts on these but this one has WaA21 proof on left side of receiver and otherwise no proofs I can find, including serial number or model marking. The receiver has definitely been painted/refinished and does have some pitting under the finish in several areas. Haven't opened the receiver to exactly see how this is decommissioned but appears receiver is cut, and bolt does not move. Barrel is not plugged though. Magazine is marked MP 44 on the side and CHN on the bottom. Wood parts have some handling wear but no cracks or chips. Note that the magazine is loose in the gun.
