2/23/21 - This is an excellent example of a National Postal Meter M1 Carbine issued to the US military in early 1944. It has a proper Marlin barrel and stock. The hammer is marked "w". The trigger group is Inland. The mag release is marked "EI". It has an "IO" marked bolt. The bolt has been parkerized, which was done some time after WW2. It also has an adjustable rear sight that was likely added after the war as well. The gun is in excellent condition, retaining virtually all of its finish. There are some small areas of dark discoloration here and there, mostly on the barrel. The stock is excellent - just a few very minor dings. The bore is mint. Comes with one period-correct magazine.
