8/28/20 - This is a WW2 Russian Mosin-Nagant Model 1891/30 Sniper rifle, made in 1938. The gun comes with a sling, scope, scope mount, leather eye caps, and a canvas scope cover. All numbered parts are matching except for the scope, but some parts are not correct so likely swapped and numbered to match. The scope is a scarce and desirable PEM example, and can sell for $800 on its own. Rifle is import marked on the chamber and was given an additional serial number. Overall, the gun is in excellent condition. The metal parts have retained most of their original finish, except for some minor muzzle wear. The wood stock is excellent. There is some chipping in the finish toward the front end of the gun. The scope mount and receiver have matching serial numbers and are both dated 1938, but we are told the mount is a reproduction. There is a Soviet makers mark on the scope mount, likely added. The scope itself is dated 1938 and is serialized, but does not match the gun. The eye caps appear to be post-war reproduction. The gun comes with a period correct sling and cleaning rod. The bore is shiny with strong rifling.
