4/25/17 - This is an early Winchester Carbine. Serial is in the 1,042,xxx range, dates it to somewhere in the middle of 1942 (Winchester started producing M1 Carbines with a very small batch in late 1941). All original configuration and finish in near MINT condition. W marked barrel. The stock is an early high wood, with an I cut sling notch. Unfortunately there is a minor indentation on the right hand of the stock where I assume someone removed the cartouche. The large P under the stock grips is still present. All correct WW2 parts including the magazine and sling. The magazine is BW marked. It has an excellent shiny bore. S marked rear site.
