9/21/17 - This is a minty, hard to find Webley & Scott Model 1905/1908 Transitional pistol. The original high-polish finish rates at 99% with only minor muzzle wear. Model 1905 pistols manufactured between 1907 and 1908 show noticeably different characteristics from the early pistols that would become standard on the model 1908, and are therefore referred to as Model 1905/1908 transitions. This pistol was manufactured in November of 1908 as part of a serial block of 470 units. The hooked trigger guard and visible trigger bar are standard model 1905 features. The groove rear sight, short extractor, safety on trigger bar, thin hammer and button magazine catch are standard model 1908 features. The grips, magazine and bore are all in line with the condition of the pistol - excellent.
