10/2/20 - This is a minty example of a Dual-tone Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. The blued slide and barrel and phosphate frame give it that characteristic dual-tone appearance. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Waffen 135" Nazi military acceptance proofs. It is fully functional, including the de-cocker. The gun is in minty condition. It is a little difficult to rate given the nature of the phosphate frame, but we estimate it has retained 98-99% of its original finish. One could make an argument that there is almost no apparent wear at all. There is very minor high edge wear on the slide, maybe some thinning on the front strap, and spotty discoloration on the phosphate frame throughout. Excellent grips - just a few scuffs on the left panel. Comes with a period correct magazine - it has a dented and scratched base. The bore is absolutely mint.
