7/30/19 - This is an absolutely incredible example of an early production Smith & Wesson Pre-Model 27 revolver, chambered in ever popular .357 Magnum, with a desirable 6.5 inch barrel length, and in the original box. This is a very early gun, made in 1951 and shipped to the famous Stoeger Arms in NY. The gun appears new with no wear to speak off, except for a barely visible cylinder ring. The blue is considered by many to be the best blue that S&W ever produced - deep and lustrous, with no fading, discoloration or spotting. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint. The matching grips are original early "high shoulder" grips, numbered to the gun, and are mint as well. This is one of the earliest examples of a 6.5 inch barrel variant, as most of the models preceding the S80XXX serial range had a 3.5 inch barrel length. The original box is faintly numbered on the bottom with a matching serial number and is in great shape as well, showing mild wear. Comes with a Smith & Wesson factory letter.
