4/27/18 - This is a very early production S&W Model 57 revolver, chambered in .41 caliber, with desirable 6 inch barrel, in its original early clamshell box. The gun retains over 99% of its original blue with just a hint of a cylinder ring present. Excellent bore and mint "coke" grips. The S-prefix Model 57 guns were made in early-mid 1960s and are considered by collectors to be the best finished M57s. For a short period of time, clamshell presentation boxes, lined with velour were used, and this box is a great example. Scarce, impossible to upgrade set.
