SOLD - Mint & Rare - Commercial Walther 'Mod P.38' - Plum Finish

7/7/17 - This is a wartime P.38 produced for the commerical market by Walther.  The origina finish is over 99%, with a beautiful plum tone to the slide and frame.  These pistols are fairly rare, and produced in much lower numbers than their military counterparts of the time (only about 1,800 produced).  Serial on this one dates it to about 1943 or 1944.  All matching gun including the frame, barrel, and the slide which can be revealed when the barrel is removed.  This gun has an excellent set of reddish grips, and a proper commercial magazine (no military proofs).  Excellent bore.
