9/10/20 - This is a mint, in the original box, Colt 1911 Government Model manufactured in 1915 and purchased by the Argentine government. Between 1914 and 1941, the Argentine government ordered over 21,000 of these pistols from Colt for their army, navy, and police force. They ordered 1,000 consecutive guns from Colt in this particular serial range, C20001-C21000. This gun has matching Argentine numbering on the frame, slide, and ejection port. There is an Argentine proof on the top of the slide. It is in the correct range. This example is in like-new, mint condition. The bore has strong rifling, but there is light pin-pricking in the grooves - otherwise shiny. Mint grips. Comes with one period-correct magazine. It comes in the original box (numbered to the gun) with original wrapping paper.
