8/11/20 - This is a rare and mint H&R Reising Model 60 semiautomatic rifle. This rifle was the semiautomatic variant of the Model 50, and were typically used by the Marines for training, guard duty and other non-combat roles. This variant was only manufactured from 1941-1945, and given the early serial number of this rifle, was likely produced towards the earlier side of that range. There were only about 3,000 of this model produced during the war, compared to over 120,000 of the submachine guns. And of that production number, about ~2000 were parkerized. This rifle has hardly any wear, just a tiny bit on the mag well. The stock has a couple of very minor dings but is excellent overall. Minty bore. The listing includes an original sling that is marked 'USMC Boyt' and 1943 dated, an original factory manual, a total of two original magazines, a reprint of the manual and a copy of Iannamicos' book on the Reising Submachine Gun.
