10/23/20 - This is a nearly unfired LWRC Six8-A5 in minty condition, chambered for the 6.8mm SPC II cartridge. The 6.8X43MM SPC II cartridge was developed as a part of the LWRC Enhanced Rifle Cartridge Program to address the deficiencies in terminal performance seen with 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge while allowing the soldier to carry the same number of rounds with a minimal weight penalty. By using a heavier projectile, the 6.8 round offers more impact energy than the 5.56 NATO round across all effective ranges, effectively bridging the gap in lethality between 5.56 NATO and 7.62 NATO. The gun itself has just a minor scuff in the logo on the left side of the receiver, but was fired once and never used again. Features include 16" cold hammer forged, spiral fluted barrel, adjustable compact stock, proprietary upper & lower receivers optimized for the 6.8 SPC II cartridge, ambidextrous lower receiver, 12" user configurable rail system, LWRCI enhanced fire control group, birdcage (A2) flash hider, ambidextrous charging handle, ambidextrous sling mount and more. Bore looks minty, all around excellent condition. Has correct, original magazine with 30 round capacity.
