12/1/17 - This is a fairly rare gun as it has a slide that was made in the Browning FN factory for assembly by Mauser. All of the parts are matching including the slide, frame, barrel and locking block. All parts are also proofed Eagle 135, including the magazine which is WaA135 on the spine. The bore is shiny and strong. The grips are excellent as well. The finish, however, is more of a mystery. All of the springs are clean and white. The S and F paint show age, but other guns I have observed in this serial range (C block) were dual-tone. This one appears to be a wartime blue finish throughout. Overall, a very clean and attractive P.38. There are no import marks or Russian X on the gun. Mechanically excellent condition. De-cocker works as well.
